The palate reflects the subtle flavours of strawberries, apricots and dark cherries which follow through from the nose. The acidity and fruit is well balanced, leading to a fresh, lively, crisp and dry finish on the palate. The palate has depth and weight, which allows it to be either enjoyed on its own or to be paired with food.

An elegant lighted perfumed example of Chenin Blanc with symphonic notes of Jasmine, apple blossom and a whiff of peach.
Medium bodied with well balanced acidity. Expect the senses to find quince, pear with lingering flavors of peach and melon. Hints of oak with characters of fresh brioche. Great long finish.
1 bottle Chardonnay 2016
Our Chardonnay grapes are specially sourced from two farms in the Helderberg and Stellenbosch regions. We hand select the rows which will be harvested in the cool of the morning to ensure the grapes arrive in our cellar at optimum temperature. The 2015 harvest was earlier than previous years due to the warm and hot summer.
The palate is sumptuous with good weight in the mouth. Complex and elegant; tropical notes, freshly picked apricots, pineapple, a slight nuttiness and green lemons vie for attention; all matched with a keen line of acidity.
1 bottle Shiraz 2013
Reflects plum and delicate aromas. Time spent in the barrel generates some coconut and a slight spiciness. The nose is forward with a medium intensity.
Clean and subtle on entry, showing ripe, soft, chewy tannins. Sweet, dark, cherry fruits are supported by the wood tannins, which allows the mid-palate length and depth. The wine has a balanced finish which allows it to be enjoyed on its own or to be paired with food.
Shiraz for the 2011 vintage was carefully hand-picked from different sections in the vineyards which were manicured to produce 6 tons/ha.Grapes were bunch and berry sorted, crushed and destalked before going to tank. After 3 days of cold soaking at 5°C, fermentation was started. The grapes were pressed directly to barrels where malolactic fermentation was completed. This wine was matured in barrel for 22 months using 10% new and 90% 2nd and 3rd fill 225L French oak barrels.

One is greeted by the flavours of plums and chocolate on a platform of well-integrated oak flavours on entry, followed by elegant raspberry and red currant flavours backed by well-pronounced spice from the Syrah.
Medium to full-bodied, juicy with a firm, ripe tannin structure backed by well-balanced acidity. Mid palate is full of dark fruit with a long and lingering finish.

Strong explosion of black cherry, cassis and strawberry fruit and chocolate flavours, backed by hints of cigar box. Strong black pepper and spice also present in the bouquet.
Elegant yet fully bodied with a firm, ripe tannin structure backed by a well-layered graphite finish. Mid palate is full of dark fruit with long and lingering flavours.
The individual varieties were handpicked and sorted allowing only the best berries to be used in making the Big G. Separate batches underwent malolactic fermentation in 30% new and 70% old French oak barrels after which the wines were aged for a further 18 months in the same barrels. After a total of 23 months ageing, only barrels with a certain level of quality were selected. The result is a full bodied, structured and balanced Bordeaux Blend.
