Sette Ponti - The name stands for Seven Bridges, which you have to cross coming from Florence to reach the winery in the classic Chianti Classico area. Grand Duke Cosimo de Medici once in 1716 laid the foundation stone for this winery in the village of Localita Oreno.
The base of today's 60 hectares of vineyards were planted by Archduke Leopold of Hapsburg and became known only in the 50s by Alberto Moretti. Since the 90's it is managed by his son Antonio Moretti with Carlo Ferrini as oenologist at his side who is famous for his work in the wineries Brolio, Ricasoli, Fonterutoli and Terriccio.
