Beaumont Cape Vintage 2016

This special Port style wine is the result of an annual harvest party at the end of the red wine harvest. The legendary party at Beaumont at the end of March is so popular that unfortunately not all "applicants" can participate. A condition of participation in the "Port Stomp" is that everyone at least briefly crushes Pinotage and Tinta Barocca grapes with their feet in open fermenting vats, in keeping with their Portuguese counterparts. Two barrels of used wood (sixth occupancy) allow this wine to age perfectly, creating delicious aromas of blueberries, blueberries, plums and cinnamon. A wine that always gives us a lot of pleasure and can be enjoyed especially in the cool season on its own slightly chilled as well as with chocolate, cherries or aromatic hard cheeses. Only 1,300 bottles of 0.375l are produced annually.
